Zamp for NetSuite: Mapping Products
Overview
To ensure rooftop-accurate tax calculations with the correct tax category classifications, it is highly recommended you map a Zamp Product Tax Code to any item that is not classified as general tangible personal property (R_TPP).

Mapping Products
Single item/product
- Navigate to your products through Lists > Accounting > Items
- Find the item you are looking to map, and click Edit
- Click Sales / Pricing
- Find Tax Code (Zamp)
- Find the applicable code within the dropdown list
- Click Save
Bulk items
An update to map products to the correct Zamp Prodcut Tax Code can also be done via the Mass Update feature in NetSuite. Refer to the following for an example on how to accomplish this.
- In your Center Tab, navigate to Lists > Mass Update > Mass Updates
- Under General Updates, select your type of item (Inventory Item, service, non-inventory item, etc.)
- Define your Critera
- Select Mass Update Fields
- Look for Tax Code (Zamp), and check the box
- Find your applicable Product Tax Code under the dropdown
- Click Preview
- Click Perform Update
Don't see your Product Tax Code in the list?
Periodically, Zamp will add additional tax codes to cover additional industries and taxability scenarios. The steps to import Zamp's tax codes into your NetSuite integration can either be repeated to refresh tax codes or set up to run on a scheduled cadence.
- In your CenterTab, navigate to Zamp > Batch Import Zamp Product Codes
- Click Edit
- Under Schedule, select the cadence you wish to run the refresh script
- Under the dropdown, click Save and execute
- The Status should now be Scheduled
