Zamp for NetSuite: Posting Transactions

Overview

Using the Types of Transaction Support guide as reference, posting a transaction with Zamp as your tax calculation is simple.

Posting a Transaction

Below is a simple invoice that is leveraging the Zamp Tax Engine:

Make sure the Tax Code is set to Zamp Tax Code if you intend to use Zamp for calculations. However, if you plan to post to Zamp with another source of tax calculation, the Tax Code can be another source.

Reminder:

The customer record needs to have a Tax Item populated as Zamp Tax Code and the items within the transaction should have a Zamp tax code mapped.

If Tax Code is set to Zamp Tax Code, once the record is saved, the Zamp integration will process your transaction data. Calculations will be based on:

  • Product Tax Code(s)
  • Any applied Exemption codes
  • Shipping or delivery location

Once saved, you can process or check for any errors by clicking the Zamp Tax Steps subtab. If Zamp is assisting with troubleshooting, we may request more information to be found in here.

Under Tax Steps History, you can either jump to the Zamp Portal to view the transaction, or review the steps performed by NetSuite to calculate and post the transaction to Zamp.
