Installing & Setting Up Zamp Tax for WooCommerce

Before You Begin

  • WordPress 5.0+
  • WooCommerce 7.0+
  • Valid Zamp API token
  • PHP 7.4+

Not sure how to verify your WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP versions? Visit WooCommerce > Status.

  • For WordPress, look under WordPress environment for a value called WordPress version
  • For WooCommerce, look under Active plugins for a value called WooCommerce
  • For PHP, look under Server environment for a value called PHP version

Installation Steps

  1. Please reach out to your Account Manager or Onboarding Specialist for the Zamp Tax plugin Zip file.
  2. Log in to the WordPress admin dashboard
  3. [Manual install] Navigate to Plugins > Add New
  4. [Manual install] Click Upload Plugin
  5. [Manual install] Select the Zamp Tax plugin ZIP file
  6. Click Install Now
  7. Click Activate Plugin


Initial Configuration

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Zamp Tax
  2. Enter your Zamp API token
    • Token status shows "Connected" when valid

    • If invalid, verify and retry
  3. Save your Settings in order to have the token validated and unlock additional settings.
  4. Select nexus states
    • States where you have tax obligations
    • Only tax-applicable states shown

Important Setting

Verify your store's address in WooCommerce > Settings > General. This address is used for tax calculations.

Feature Configuration

  • Enable Calculations: Automatic checkout tax calculation
  • Send Transactions: Tax reporting data transmission
  • Enable Address Validation: Shipping address verification
