Zamp for WooCommerce: Product Tax Code Configurations

Product Configuration in Zamp Tax

Product Tax Codes

Product tax codes determine how items are taxed across different jurisdictions. Proper tax code assignment ensures accurate tax calculations for your products.

Understanding Tax Codes

  • R_TPP - Default code utilized if a Zamp Product Tax Code is not specified
  • Reference - See here for a list of all of Zamp's supported tax codes

Note: If no tax code is assigned, products automatically default to R_TPP (Tangible Personal Property).

Assigning Custom Codes

To set a tax code for individual products:

  1. Edit a product in WooCommerce
  2. Scroll to the "Product Data" section
  3. Look for "Zamp Product Tax Code" field
  4. Enter the appropriate tax code
  5. Click "Update" to save changes

Important: Using incorrect tax codes may result in improper tax calculations.
