Product Configuration in Zamp Tax

Product Tax Codes

Product tax codes determine how items are taxed across different jurisdictions. Proper tax code assignment ensures accurate tax calculations for your products.

Understanding Tax Codes

• R_TPP - Default code utilized if a Zamp Product Tax Code is not specified
• Reference - See here for a list of all of Zamp's supported tax codes

Setting a Default Code

1. Navigate to General within the Zamp Tax Settings
2. Find Default Product Tax Code
3. If you have a code that is not R_TPP, change the code to be another Zamp Product Tax Code. Ensure you are using a Zamp code

Assigning Product Tax Codes

There are two options for mapping tax codes within WooCommerce. Either through a category mapping, or item-by-item.

Category Mapping

1. Click Settings
2. Under the navigation bar, click Zamp Tax

3. Under the sub-navigation bar, click Tax Codes

4. You will see your product Categories. If you have specific item categories where all products will be the same tax code, you can map a Zamp Product Tax Code for an entire category using the Tax Code box.
5. When finished mapping, click Apply Category Tax Codes to Products

Product Mapping

1. Click Settings
2. Under the navigation bar, click Zamp Tax
3. Under the sub-navigation bar, click Bulk Tax Codes

4. You will see a list of your products. If possible, map all of your products.
5. After each mapping, hit Save

Verifying Tax Codes

To ensure your tax codes are working correctly:

• Add products with different tax codes to your cart
• Proceed to checkout
• Verify that tax calculations reflect the appropriate rates
• Check the order details after purchase to confirm correct tax application
