Initial Configuration
Accessing Zamp Tax Settings
- Log into your Shopware 6 Admin Panel
- Navigate to Extensions → My Extensions
- Find "Zamp Tax" in the list
- Click the three-dot menu and select "Configure"
- You will be taken to the Zamp Tax configuration page.
You can also navigate to Extensions → "Zamp Tax".
Obtaining API Token
To get your Zamp API Token:
- During onboarding, you will receive your unique API token
- Keep this token secure - it will be used to authenticate your store with Zamp's services
Connecting Your Zamp Account
To connect your Zamp account to Shopware:
- In the Zamp Tax configuration page, locate the "Zamp API Token" field
- Enter your API token from Zamp
- Click "Connect Zamp Account"
- If successful, you'll see a "Connected!" confirmation message
- The button will change to "Update API Token" for future modifications
Basic Setup Checklist
Complete these essential configuration steps:
- Configure Taxable States:
- Select the states where you need to collect sales tax
- Use the multi-select dropdown to add/remove states
- Changes are saved automatically
- Enable Tax Calculations:
- Toggle "Allow Zamp to handle your Tax Calculations?"
- This enables real-time tax rate calculations
- Enable Transaction Reporting:
- Toggle "Send your transaction reports to Zamp?"
- Required for tax filing and reporting services
- Configure Log Retention (Optional):
- Toggle "Compress and Retain Zamp logs after 30 days?"
- Recommended for audit purposes
- Save Configuration:
- Click "Save Settings" to apply your changes
- Verify settings are saved with success message
Note: After initial configuration, test the integration by creating a test checkout cart to ensure tax calculations are working correctly.
