Tax Settings Configuration

Selecting Taxable States

Configure which states Zamp Tax will calculate and collect taxes for:

  1. Navigate to Extensions → My Extensions → Zamp Tax → Settings
  2. Locate the "Taxable States" dropdown field
  3. Click to open the multi-select dropdown
  4. Select states where you need to collect sales tax:
    • Start typing a state name to filter the list
    • Click on states to select them
    • Selected states appear as tags above the dropdown
    • Click the "x" on a tag to remove that state

Enabling Tax Calculations

Enable Zamp Tax to handle your tax rate calculations:

  1. Find the "Allow Zamp to handle your Tax Calculations?" toggle switch
  2. Click to enable/disable tax calculations
    • Enabled: Zamp calculates tax rates in real-time
    • Disabled: Default Shopware tax handling is used
Note: Tax calculations must be enabled for Zamp to provide accurate, real-time tax rates for your transactions.

Configuring Transaction Reporting

Set up automatic transaction reporting to Zamp:

  1. Locate the "Send your transaction reports to Zamp?" toggle switch
  2. Enable to automatically sync transactions with Zamp
    • Transactions are sent when orders are completed
    • Required for tax filing services
    • Maintains audit trail of all transactions

Log Retention Settings

Configure how Zamp handles transaction logs:

  1. Find the "Compress and Retain Zamp logs after 30 days?" toggle switch
  2. Enable to retain compressed logs:
    • Logs are compressed after 30 days
    • Compressed logs remain accessible for audit purposes
    • Helps maintain system performance
  3. Access logs through:
    • Zamp Dashboard → Logs tab
    • Select date to view specific logs
    • Download logs as PDF for record keeping
Important: For compliance purposes, it's recommended to keep transaction logs for at least 3 years. Enable log retention to ensure your records are maintained.
