Common Issues and Solutions

API Connection Issues

  • Issue: Failed API connection test
    • Verify API token is entered correctly in configuration
    • Check system logs for detailed error messages
    • Ensure proper network connectivity to api.zamp.com

Tax Calculation Problems

  • Issue: Incorrect tax calculations
    • Verify taxable states are configured correctly
    • Check product tax codes are set properly
    • Ensure customer tax exemption codes are valid
    • Review transaction logs for API response details
  • Issue: Missing tax calculations
    • Confirm module is enabled (tax/zamp_configuration/active )
    • Verify tax calculation is enabled (tax/zamp_configuration/allow_tax_calculation )
    • Check if customer's state is in configured taxable states

  • CONFLICT : Transaction already exists in Zamp system
Resolution: Use re-sync functionality to update transaction
  • Connection failed! : API connection test failure

Debug Logging

Log Locations

  • System Logs:

  • Transaction Logs:
    • Admin Panel: System > Zamp Transaction Logs
    • Database Table: zamp_transaction_log

Enable Debug Logging

  1. Navigate to Stores > Configuration > Sales > Tax > Zamp Configuration
  2. Set "Enable Logging" to "Yes"
  3. Configure "Log Entry Lifetime, Days" (minimum 30 days)
  4. Save configuration

  • Transaction processing status
  • Error messages and stack traces
  • Tax calculation details
