Registration-Related Fees

What state-required registration fees to expect during onboarding and why they appear on your bank statement.

Understanding registration-related charges

During the registration process, you may see one or more charges appear on your bank account. These are normal and are associated with state-required registration fees.

This article explains what to expect so there are no surprises.

Why you may see charges during registration

When we register you in certain states, required fees are paid directly to the state on your behalf. These charges typically appear as individual transactions and are most often under $100 each.

Fee amounts vary by state

Each state sets its own registration requirements and fees. The amount you're charged depends on the state(s) where you are registering. These fees are not optional and are a standard part of completing registration.

Key things to know

  • Registration-related charges are usually less than $100 per transaction.

  • Fees are set by individual states and may vary.

  • Charges are a normal and expected part of the registration process.

  • Some states may assess additional fees based on timing or trade-name registration.
