Multi-Channel Sales Support

The Zamp integration to Microsoft Business Central can support your marketplace and external sales channels. Post any and all transactions into Zamp.

Overview

If all your sales are pulled into Microsoft Business Central through other channels, Zamp can pull all of your posted invoices into Zamp, without needing to integrate with the other platforms. Seamless transaction posting, from one source.

Prerequisites

For whichever integration creates sales orders or invoices in Business Central, you will need to ensure:

  1. The Marketplace or E-commerce Platform is added as an Marketplace in Business Central (See more below).

  2. The Customer attached to the order is mapped to the applicable marketplace.

Why Does This Matter?

Zamp needs to fully understand your quote-to-cash process, and where transactions originate to:

  1. Ensure there are no duplicate transactions being posted to your Zamp account.

  2. Zamp is not recalculating tax on transactions that you have already charged a customer for.

How does the Integration with Business Central handle this?

On Sales Orders and Invoices, the Marketplace field can be populated with a Marketplace or E-Commerce platform generated in your instance.

Creating a Marketplace

  1. Within Business Central, search for Marketplace.

  2. Add your respective Marketplace and E-Commerce platform:

    1. Code: An easily identifiable Marketplace or E-Commerce ID

    2. Description: What is the platform?

    3. Type: Either Marketplace or eCommerce

    4. Exemption Code:

      1. For E-Commerce, select OTHER

      2. For Marketplace, select MARKETPLACE

    5. Add Tax: Uncheck this box so Zamp does NOT calculate tax

    6. Upload Orders: Check this box so transactions are posted to Zamp.

    7. Zamp Marketplace Code: Assign a Marketplace code if the line is a Marketplace. Supported codes can be found here.

Assigning a Marketplace

This step will likely be handled in your Connector settings. Ensure there is a mapping set-up where customers will have an associated marketplace if generating transactions automatically.

  1. Navigate to the customer.

  2. Under Acumens e-Tax, the Marketplace dropdown should contain your created Marketplace values.
